With the Honors Mentorship Program out of Hall County schools, I have had the incredible opportunity to work alongside a middle school Spanish teacher and explore the world of Spanish education, broadening my horizon and expanding my knowledge on the importance of learning a secondary language. Learning another language has prepared me for my next step after high school and college as far as mission work in Spanish speaking countries and becoming a Spanish teacher in the future. Without HMP, I would not have been able to experience a classroom setting, engaging in creative thinking and problem solving in a language that isn't native to students. It was an incredible opportunity that I know will aid me in my future studies.
